Level 2 Beautiful Details

Three Creations

Good morning everyone!  Hope your day is extra special!
The first of my three projects is from the Beautiful Details class "Artistic Flowers".  A very interesting class taught by Marika Rahtu.  She really challenges every participant to think outside the box when working with stamps.  The stamp set I used is Etheral Beauty.  I only used one of the leaves from this set to build my flowers.  I started with Altenew's Moonrock paper for my card topper.  I stamped the leaves three or four times with Pure Graphite ink before re-inking the stamp to achieve several shades of one color.  Imagine just a simple little leaf stamp creates such a pretty flower with a ton of dimension.  The ink is from the Altenew mini set "Rock Collection.  Once my flowers were stamped I went in with my black micron pen and added some outlines and stems.  Can you imagine what they looked like before the outlining?  The flowers themselves actually tell you what to add as you go.  Just try it once and see for yourself.  I added a sentiment stamped in Pure Graphite from the Build a Flower set Coral Charm.  Then I added Nuvo drops.  Don't you know when I want all the drops the same size its hard to do but when I don't want them all the same it was even harder!  I am practicing these drops and working toward being able to create lots of different sizes.  I then glued the card top to the dark gray card base and added a slim strip of black paper to the bottom of the card front.  I will be adding this technique to my future projects.  I hope you like the finished project!

The next project is from the Detailed Leaves class.  Again I used the Moonrock paper for my card topper.  I splattered the background using three shades of gray.  I set it aside to dry.  Beautiful Day is the Altenew stamp set I used for the leaves and the flowers.  I used white card stock for both.  The leaf coloring is three shades of Spectrum Noir markers.  And again I used my micron pen to sketch the lines on the leaves.  The flower was stamped with black ink.  Both images were cut using the matching Altenew dies.  I glued the card top to the dark gray card base I then added the leaves.  I used foam tape to add the flower for a pop up.The sentiment is embossed in white on black card stock and attached to the bottom right of the card.  Then I added crystal clear drops to the front of the card.

The last card today is from the Soft Daisy class.  The card topper is white with three shades of  of yellow and orange splatters ( I think I used a little too much splatter on this I might go a little less on the next card).    I cut a square window and added black dots all around the outside to give it a stitched look.  I added foam tap to pop up the window.  The stamp set is Spring Daisy from Altenew.  The sentiment was stamped in black directly to the topper.  The daisy and the leaves were embossed on vellum using a clear embossing powder.   They were both colored on the back using Prismacolor watercolor pencils.  This was my very first vellum project.  I think I was just scared to try it.....but Marika showed me the way.  If you have been holding back with Vellum....Try it You'll like it!  Now I will use this technique again and again.  I added some clear rain drops and dots to finish the card.  I can truly tell you that I learned a lot from these six classes.  All the Altenew classes are challenging and fun.

Again I am thrilled to share my projects with you.  I hope you will share yours with me.  Have a wonderful week.  #Altenew;#AECP
